You'll just have to try it and refund it if you don't like it. Aside from that, there isn't much we can recommend for you since it almost always comes down to personal preferences. You may want to try Rytmik and refund before the 2-hour Steam-Refund time limit if you really don't like the interface. I personally prefer LMMS as my favorite DAW, but Rytmik is definitely my favorite tracker simply for how intuitive and fun it is to work with.Īctually, it seems to be a coin-toss whether people find the Rytmik interface intuitive or not. If I can recommend software to you, try - it's based more on the FL-Studio interface (which may or may-not appeal to you), but it has support for all of those features that Rytmik would not have and it's FOSS (Free Open Source Software). So if those are libraries and features that you will absolutely need access to than Rytmik might not be your best option.

I'd say you will have more fun using Rytmik, but Rytmik does not support things like VSTs and soundfonts and MIDI-Export, which Mixcraft might (I'm not sure as I didn't research that). Rytmik approaches music production with more of a Tracker/Groovebox interface. Never used Mixcraft before, but from the screenshots it looks like a typical DAW.
